Maintenance Mechanic

Bakery Barn is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Industrial Maintenance team. Candidates should have intermediate-level mechanical maintenance experience and be capable of performing complex tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, food safety & GMP rules and requirements.
  • Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks.
  • Make complex mechanical repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as assigned, completing tasks through a work order system.
  • Interact with the production team to ensure safe and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Mechanic I personnel.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures and directions.
  • Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.

Sanitation Technician

The ideal Sanitation Technician candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of our food production facility to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold our commitment to producing safe and high-quality food products.

What you will do as a Sanitation Technician:

  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment, machinery, and conveyors following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment safely and effectively, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning logs, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance records.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or sanitation role preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions
